As a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator, you will play a vital role in our quality assurance process by inspecting and verifying high-precision aerospace components. Using advanced measurement equipment and software, you will ensure that every part meets the company’s exacting standards and our customers’ strict aerospace requirements. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy will help maintain our reputation for excellence.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Programming and operating CMM equipment to inspect complex aerospace parts and assemblies.
Setting up, calibrating, and verifying CMM machines to ensure accurate and consistent measurement results.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
Performing first-article inspections (FAIs), in-process checks, and final inspections in accordance with customer and industry requirements.
Recording and analyzing measurement data, preparing detailed inspection reports, and entering results into Net-Inspect.
Bench-checking parts as needed to validate dimensions and ensure conformance to specifications.
Identifying and reporting non-conformances, assisting in root cause analysis, and supporting corrective action activities.
Willingly assisting in other shop responsibilities, including deburring, assembly, and shop clean-up, to support team goals.
Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Minimum requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5 (five) or more years of experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
Proficiency in machine set-up for inspection operations.
Experience performing FAIs and working within Net-Inspect.
Ability to bench check parts to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality.

Working experience with PC-DMIS software (preferred).
Working experience with advanced inspection tools and techniques beyond CMM, such as laser trackers or portable arm CMMs (preferred).
Relevant technical certificate or degree (preferred).
